You and your bike are welcome here
If you know – or think- your bike needs service, we want you to bring it to us, whether you ride it, drive it, put it on the bus rack, or walk it to our front door. When diagnosing the needs of your bike, seeing it in person is necessary.
Seeing the part you need, or the tire you are trying to replace is also necessary. There are many different sizes and styles of bike parts and tires. We want to get you what you need the first time.
Is your bike in need of repair?
Come in and talk to one of our mechanics for an evaluation and estimate. Before writing up a detailed estimate of what needs to be done, we’ll discuss concerns and requests for of anything you would like to have addressed. Once your repair needs are determined we’ll give you an estimated cost and a time frame of when we can get you can get back out on your wheels.
Some parts are in short supply – We try to keep most common parts needed for repair in stock. Due to the ongoing bike boom, we may find shortages in the part needed to repair your bicycle. We’ll do our best to let you know if there are any shortages or parts delays affecting your bike repair at the time of evaluation and estimate. Sometimes we can still complete a repair with a good condition used part, but we’ll get your approval first on that type of substitution.

Parking and Transportation Info:
- There is a 5-loop bike parking rack (bright red) right in front of the shop. That’s the easiest place to lock up if you’re coming in for parts, accessories, or to shop for another bike.
- Bus Transit – We’re walking distance of the Downtown bus transit hub and there are frequent buses that get to the nearby Park and Main Street intersection, the city’s south end bus hub. All CTtransit buses have bike racks.
- Park Street has free parallel parking and there is a small parking lot right across the street from us that is also free and used by visitors to the nearby businesses, including BiCi Co.
- If you’re riding a Link e-scooter to the shop, please end your ride outside and park it on the sidewalk that does not block wheelchair access or pedestrians walking by. You can even lean it against our bike rack.
- What not to do – Please don’t lean your bike against the shop window or across the doorway. Please don’t block the sidewalk with your bike or e-scooter.
BiCi Co Service & Maintenance Packages
Preventive Maintenance is the key to helping your bike last for years and run like new! Pick one of the packages listed below to best meet your current needs.
Deluxe Tune-up – $175, Tax Included
Includes everything in our Advance Tune-up plus:
- Full Drivetrain Cleaning
- Crank, chainrings, cassette, chain, and derailleurs are all removed from the bike and cleaned
- Additional cost for any required parts
Intermediate Tune Up – $90, Tax Included
Everything in our Standard Tune-up Plus the following:
- Wheel hub adjustments
- Bottom bracket adjustment
- Wheels removed and trued on truing stand
- Headset adjustment
- Additional cost for any required parts
Basic Tune-up — $72 Tax Included
Get your bike ready for the riding season..our Standard Tune-up includes:
- Basic wipe down and lube of bicycle
- Front and rear derailleur adjustments
- Front and rear brake adjustments
- Wheels remain on bike, minor touch up truing
- Bicycle safety inspection
- Additional cost for any required parts
Other services:
- Bike assembly, Boxed bike build: $125 (not including any parts)
- Custom wheel building: $120/wheel (+ cost of parts)
- Disc brake service: Bleeds $35/brake (+ cost of parts)
- Basic safety check: $10
- Bike packing and shipping: $75 plus Shipping Cost, and + $20 if we provide the box and shipping materials
