Rolling Into November and December

Both the BiCi Co. and Transport Hartford Programs have an exciting month of events lined up for our friends – new and old.  Check out the list below and invite others to share the love of active transportation, biking, walking, and transit.  Multimodal transportation in the Hartford region links us up with increased mobility, a more connected community, and healthy, sustainable options that make us happy.

• Tuesday, October 31st, 5:30-7:30pm, Earn-a-Bike for Teens – This is the last day for youth and teens (age 13-19) to join the Fall Earn-a-Bike cohort.  This is a fabulous program for teens that love hands on learning and bicycles.
• Friday, November 3rd, 7-9am – Multimodal Breakfast and Coffee Meet-ups in Hartford and towns in the region.  West Hartford, Hartford, East Hartford, Manchester, Middletown, and Storrs Center.  Share with others and invite your friends.
• Friday, November 3rd, 6:00pm-9:00pm, Bike Walk CT Annual Dinner – We’ll be at the Bike Walk Connecticut Annual Dinner, hosted nearby at the Chrysalis Center in Hartford.   Let’s fill up their bike racks and the CTtransit buses.
• Sunday, November 5th, 8:30am-5:30pm – Traffic Skills / Safe Cycling 101.  This full day comprehensive course will change your life.  Sign up now, and share with those you love.  BiCi Co. member discounts and limited income registration levels available.
• Wednesday, November 15th, 6:30-9:00pm – BiCi Co. Membership Drive Kick-off at J Rene – With our partners from J. Rene Coffee, please join us to celebrate the power of Bicicletas y Comunidad. We’ll highlight our past year of development, announce new partnerships, and say, thank you.  Register here.
• (FULL UP) Tuesday, November 28th – All Aboard! Commuter Rail Workshop and Panel Discussion at Union Station in Hartford.  Event Info and Registration Link.  This event is full to capacity with RSVP’s.  
• Friday, December 1st – First Friday Multimodal Meetup. 7-9am at Ashley’s in Hartford.  Just south of Downtown on Main Street.  Bus, bike, walk, train, or carpool/vanpool.  Come warm up with a coffee and darn good home fries.  Invite others and share with co-workers.
• Sunday, December 10th – Transport Hartford Happy Hour and Hack Night.  Join new friends and old to review the Colt Park and area roads plan, and mark it up with improvements and suggestions.  4:00pm-7:30pm at Hanging Hill Brewery on Ledyard.  Coltsville is going to be a National Park, and we want to have the best park out there for bicyclists, pedestrians, and transit users.  More info.
