Rolling into the Holidays with BiCi Co. and Transport Hartford

We pick up steam when the temperature drops.  Check out the long list of BiCi Co. and Transport Hartford events coming up in December and January.  Don’t be a scrooge.  Share this list with you friends that love bicycles and multimodal transportation.

• Wednesday, December 6th – City of Hartford Bicycle Plan Public Meeting.  5:30-7:30pm at 260 Constitution Plaza, plaza level conference room.  Make this plan work for you!
• Sunday, December 10th – Transport Hartford Happy Hour and Hack Night.  This informal nerdy meet-up will look at Colt Park connectivity and Warwarme Avenue design options.  There is a Google folder with the draft plan, and this meet-up will work off of that starting point.  4:00-7:30pm at Hanging Hills Brewery on Ledyard Street.
• Wednesday, December 13th – Winter Cycling 101 at BiCi Co.  6:00-7:00pm at the workshop, 97 Park St.  Learn tips and tricks for safe and warm winter bicycle commuting.  Free for BiCi Co. members, and $20 for non-members.

• Friday, December 15th – Monthly Bike Walk Connecticut Advocacy Working Grou.  This is a monthly teleconference from 12-1pm, and held on the 3rd Fridays.  Reach out to Adina Gianianelli for the teleconference dial-in information.
• Saturday, December 16th – BiCi Co. Members and Volunteers Annual Meeting.  Winter is perfect for reflection and planning for the next year.  BiCi Co. had a lot accomplishments in 2017, and we’re looking forward to 2018.  Be a part of that planning process.  10am-1pm at 95 Park Street, on the 2nd floor.
• Friday, January 5th – First Friday Multimodal Meet-up.  This month we are gathering at the beautiful Spectra Wired Café located in the bottom floor of the Spectra building.  We’ll be there between 7am-9am, and enjoying something caffeinated with something sweet and toasty.
• AND – Take the Transport Hartford 2018 Summit Survey.  We are gathering input from our community and region on what they want to see at a 2018 multimodal transportation summit.  Make sure your voice is heard.

Something for those that like to keep up with Tony C’s bike tours.  Tony is starting off this week on his bike for a winter tour to visit family in the Midwest.  Wish him luck, and minimal frostbite.  Tony will put up some updates while traveling.  Stay tuned.
